Kaida Childcare Center is located at 24442 Moulton Parkway in Laguna Woods, near Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo. We welcome developmentally ready children approximately 4 to 5 years old and are open Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm.
One of the advantages of Kaida's Pre-K program is our intentionally limited classroom capacity. California licensing standards establish minimum staffing requirements. Because Kaida's Pre-K classroom capacity is intentionally limited, our classroom structure can provide a more favorable teacher-to-child environment than the minimum licensing standard alone when the class is full. Our focus is on providing teachers with the opportunity to know their students, observe their development and provide meaningful interaction.
Our goal is not simply to prepare children academically. We want them to enter kindergarten with confidence.
A child preparing for kindergarten benefits from many different skills.
Children develop vocabulary, listening, storytelling, letter awareness, phonological awareness and early writing foundations.
Children explore numbers, counting, patterns, shapes, measurement and problem-solving.
Children observe, ask questions, make predictions and explore the world around them.
Writing, drawing, cutting and manipulating materials help children strengthen the skills they need for classroom activities.
Children practice cooperation, communication, emotional regulation, empathy and confidence.
Children practice following routines, taking responsibility for age-appropriate tasks and working increasingly independently.
This is an important part of Kaida's philosophy. Children remain in Preschool until they are developmentally prepared for Pre-K. We consider the whole child when determining readiness.
This includes:
Once the child is ready, we can transition them into Pre-K. This individualized approach helps avoid putting a child into a classroom before they are ready for its expectations.
Kindergarten readiness does not mean turning Pre-K into elementary school.
We combine these experiences with intentional learning so children can develop important skills in a positive environment.
Our goal is for children to leave Kaida feeling:
"I can do it." "I can learn." "I can make friends." "I can solve problems." "I'm ready for what's next."
Kaida's Pre-K program serves developmentally ready children approximately 4 to 5 years old.
We consider independence, social and emotional readiness, communication, classroom routines, group experiences and overall developmental readiness.
Our intentionally limited classroom capacity gives teachers more opportunities for meaningful interaction, guidance and personalized support.
Children experience intentional learning alongside play, movement, creativity, outdoor experiences, social interaction and exploration.
